Food
Handler License
Are you interested in getting your food handler's license?
Did you know that AZ State requirements have changed and that
now anyone who is serving unpackaged foods to students outside
of their regular classroom environment must have a food handler's
license. Volunteer permits are free and will take less than
one hour of your time. Permits are good for three years. Be
sure when you are handing in your test to tell the examiner
that you are a volunteer.
You may
download a booklet in advance of going to take the test at
www.maricopa.gov. Click on Departments, then click on Health
Services, then on Environmental Health, then to Food Worker
Training. On the left side of the screen you will see a drop
down with the booklet section. Click on booklet and then print
out or review online.
